    10 Days Tour Imperial Cities

    10 Day Morocco Tour Itinerary from Casablanca. In these 10 days / 9 nights, you will visit so many fabulous places. Starting the tour by visiting the Casablanca city. Then Rabat the capital of Morocco, Chefchaouen the blue city, and also the Roman ruins of Volubilis. As well as visiting Meknes the Ismaili capital, Fes the cultural city and the Switzerland of Morocco Ifrane. Then we drive south visiting the cedars forest, Midelt, the amazing Ziz valley, and Rissani traditional market.

    In addition to Erfoud the fossils town and also the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you can ride camels and spend the night in a luxury camp in the middle of the desert. Also enjoy magical sunset and sunrise in the Sahara. Thereafter, walk in the magnificent Todra and Dades gorges. Visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Cross the High Atlas mountains and the Tizi-n-Tichka pass. Then roam Marrakech with a local guide. Finally the tour ends in Casablanca.

    Itinerary

    Day 1Casablanca Airport –Rabat

    Meet and welcome at Casablanca airport, we will drive to Casablanca then to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. In Casablanca you will see the Hassan II Mosque, the largest one outside of Mecca and experience the coastal Cornish seaside. Afterwards, we will leave to Rabat. Here you will see the Hassan Tower and the Oudaya Kasbah, before you check in to your Riad/Hotel in the Medina.

    Day 2Rabat –Meknes –Fes

    After breakfast we will start travelling to Fes via Meknes and Volubilis. In Meknes, another significant imperial city in Morocco, known as the Ismaili capital of Morocco, you will see the famous gate Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Bassin, and the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, your journey continues to the Roman city of Volubilis, where you will get a chance to see the wonderfully preserved original mosaics, Roman road, and city layout. As you travel through the Moroccan countryside we will pass by the Holy City of Moulay Idriss for a photo opportunity. You’ll get to Fes late in the afternoon where we will spend the night.

    Day 3Exploring Fes

    After breakfast, we will begin our visit of “the oldest living Medina in the world” with a local official tour guide. We will tour the Medina with its “souks” (markets), stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine Mosque and University.We will visit also the tomb of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II”. Lunch will be held at one of the traditional restaurants in the old Medina. After lunch we will continue our tour to visit the Nejjarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

    Day 4Fes –Ifrane –Azrou –Midelt –Ziz Valley –Erg Chebbi Dunes

    After breakfast we depart to the south of Morocco. You will have a stop in Ifrane, known as the switezland of Morocco to enjoy its beauty and to have a memoriable photos. After that you will head toward Azrou to see the monkies in the cedar forest. Continuing to Midelt for a lunch meal in a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will cross the pass of Tizi N Talgghamt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz gorges. Later on, you will have a stop for a panoramic view of Ziz valley. The drive continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes passing by Aoufous and Erfoud (the last is famous with fossils and dates) where you may want to visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that you will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, these dunes are called also Merzouga Dunes. Arrive to the hotel where you will spend the night. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel.

    Day 5Merzouga –Khamlia –visit Nomad family –Tour of the Erg Chebbi dunes by 4×4 vehicle

    This morning after breakfast in the hotel. You will have a tour of the dunes on 4×4 allowing you to visit a nomad family living in tent, visit to khamlia village and entertainment of their spiritual music of Gnawa, and visit the lake Dayte Sarji that forms in springtime which attract pink flamingos and wildlife. Then you will have a break for lunch in Merzouga. After lunch you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located on the foot of the dunes. Continue to your hotel for relax. Arrive to the hotel and get ready for a camel trek for 1,30 to enjoy the sunset. While on the back of your dromedary, you will continue to the camp for an overnight in traditional nomad tent.  Dinner and spend the night in a bivouac in the middle of the dunes.

    Day 6Erg Chebbi Dunes – Erfoud –Todra Gorges –Boumalne Du Dades

    Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dunes in the Sahara Desert then have your breakfast. After these beautiful moments, be ready back by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga. We depart towards Tineghir passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad. Have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tineghir. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrival to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous Canyons views while hiking on foot. Later on, we drive to Boumalne du dades and stopping for a panoramic view of dades valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 7Boumalne Du Dades –Kelaa M'gouna –Ouarzazate –Ait Benhaddou –Tizi N'tichka Pass –Marrakech

    This morning after breakfast in the hotel, We depart to Ouarzazate via Skoura. Stopping for a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt then another photo stop near the atlas film studios. After that you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. In the Afternoon we will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Early in the evening we arrive to Marrakech.

    Day 8Marrakesh Sightseeing

    A full-day tour of Marrakech. We will visit the Menara, a surrounded pool by flowerbeds that function as an irrigation system for the surrounded fields. The sightseeing tour will cover several impressive sights: The Koutoubia mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said Palace museum of jewellery. Optional lunch will be in the Medina followed by a walk through the colorful souks of Marrakech. We will enjoy a sunset drink overlooking the exciting Djemaa El Fna Square from a terrace of a cafe, dinner and night at hotel.

    Day 9Day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira

    After breakfast we you will start travelling to the coastal city of Essaouira. Getting there after about 3 hours driving to start exploring the city. You’ll visit the Skala Fortress; see Thuya wood carved by artisans; walk through the alleys of the medina and view hundreds of handicrafts. This “City of the Wind” attracts surfers from all over the world. Essaouira knew many civilisations -including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture – however, it remains a small village with much history. Because of its size and its characteristic blue doors and washed walls, it is also regarded as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantic. You will also visit the women’s co-operative of Argan oil. Here they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medicinal properties. Lunch will be done the Moroccan way – fresh fish “cooked in order” at the fish market. In the afternoon we will travel back to Marrakech where we will spend the night.

    Day 10Marrakech –Casablanca Airport

    After breakfast, we will drive you to Casablanca/Marrakech airport for your flight back home. The tour ends at the airport.
